Hi, I’m Kristen Smith. Trained herbalist, Certified Aromatherapist, and holistic health educator.

I still remember how I fumbled through my start with essential oils. I trusted the advice from blogs, friends who sold oils, and random Google searches. And my bad results showed it.

Through my natural health training, I began to see just how difficult it was for the average person to know what to believe with essential oils. People were wasting their oils, buying ones they didn’t need, and using them in ways that were potentially dangerous.

I wanted to help. Essential Oils: Separating Truth from Myth is my answer.

Does this book secretly promote a certain brand?

No. This book is completely brand-neutral. I don’t sell essential oils, so you won’t even find a mention about wholesale accounts, joining a team, or emailing me to learn about the best essential oil brand. There isn’t one.

Isn’t this just another person’s opinion? Why should I believe Kristen?

While it’s true that herbalists and aromatherapists use essential oils differently, there are general safety guidelines that most professionals follow. My approach reflects my extensive professional training, current research, and consensus from the aromatherapy community.

I’m new to essential oils. Will this book just confuse me more?

To the contrary! This book is written so you can understand it, even if you’re a complete beginner with essential oils. In fact, it’s everything I wish I’d known when I first started with essential oils.

I’ve used essential oils for years. Will this still help me?

Yes! Many people with essential oil experience have read this book and learned safer and more effective ways to use their oils.

I sell essential oils and love my brand. Will this book try to talk me out of it or bash my company?

Nope. By brand-neutral, I mean completely brand-neutral.
